| Gansu field trip 2009 |
| | On 1-4 August 2009, Lotus Light Charity Society organized the second field trip to Gansu, bringing 29 participants to experience the drought conditions in Gansu’s mountainous region. Despite the short trip, every participant was left with unforgettable memories. |

| | Members of the Lotus Light Charity Society (HK) went to Gansu Province again on 1 April 2009, to inspect the drought condition and shoot for the new episode of the fundraising TV program “A Precious Drop of Life”. Joining the team were two new ambassadors, Alan Tam and Karena Lam. |

| | Columbia proudly sponsors - “A Precious Drop of Life” sharing session Charity sales of lovely water droplet t-shirt designed by Fiona Sit In order to raise public awareness towards the water shortage problem in China’ arid mountainous regions, the Lotus Light Charity Society (HK) held a sharing session on its latest TV series “A Precious Drop of Life” at Miramar Hotel on 12 February 2009. Attending the event were Honorary Advisor Anita Yuen and popular singer Fiona Sit. Anita shared her experience in the visit, and together with Fiona they demonstrated how the daily food consumed by drought-stricken peasants are prepared, including potatoes, pumpkins, corns and steamed buns. These foods, though simple, already form a big feast to those poor peasants. How could one not feel the pressing need to help them? |

| A new episode of “A Precious Drop of Life” |
| | A new episode of “A Precious Drop of Life” On 3-6 December, members of our society headed to Ping Liang of Gansu Province again for the 2009 charity TV series “A Precious Drop of Life”. Traveling along were loving ambassador Mr Tony Leung, Honorary Advisor Ms Anita Yuen and Honorary PR Advisor Ms Lelia Chow. The new series will be broadcast on TVB Jade at 11:00 p.m. on 21 Feb, 28 Feb and 7 Mar respectively. |

| Sulwhasoo Overnight Vitalizing Treatment “Rain-saving Water Cellar Program” Charity Sales Raised HK$430,000 |
| | Prestige Korean skin care brand Sulwhasoo organized a charity sale for the “Rain-saving Water Cellar Program” during March and April 2008, to coincide with the launch of their new Overnight Vitalizing Treatment. Thank you for each generous customer, the charity sales altogether raised a sum of HK$430,000. |

| 2-hour Marathon Charity Autograph Signing |
| | Cathy Chui, Chan Kin Fung, Ng Wing Mei and Szeto Shui Kei attended LLCS’s Charity Autograph Signing event, to help drought-stricken families living in Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, Gansu and Guizhou build rain-saving water cellars. The event was held on 5 and 23 July 2005 at Hollywood Plaza in Diamond Hill and Tuen Mun Plaza respectively, attracting several hundreds of citizens to queue up for celebrities’ autographs. |

| | To help bring Mainland China peasants out of poverty due to persistent drought, LLCS has been raising fund for the past three years to build rain-saving water cellars in the dry Northwest. In April 2007, a site visit to Qinghai and Gansu was organized, with the aim of raising public awareness towards the water shortage problem through two ambassadors. |
